Apple Cider Vinegar Lemonade

This drink is the perfect addition to your daily routine if you are wanting to kickstart your health! It is super hydrating, great for your immune system and digestion, and will energize you without the crash of caffeine. Apple cider vinegar is often used as a remedy to fight viruses, sore throats, indigestion, and other digestive issues. It is important to buy apple cider vinegar that is raw, unfiltered and contains the mother. Pasteurized vinegar will not have the same health benefits of the raw versions. I buy Bragg's brand and love it. You can find it at Whole Foods and most health food stores! In addition to the apple cider vinegar, lemon has also been shown to aid in digestion and detoxification. Lemon is also loaded with vitamin C, which is vital for your immune system. The antioxidants in lemon also help to keep your skin looking fresh and clear and who doesn't love that! Last but not least the spices in this drink pack a nutritional punch, while also waking you up. Turmeric contains curcumin which is an excellent anti-inflammatory agent. In addition, cayenne pepper is amazing for your body's digestion, joints, detoxification systems, and much more!

Recipe:

  • 1 glass of warm or room temp filtered water
  • 1 fresh squeezed lemon
  • 2-3 tbsp of raw apple cider vinegar 
  • Dash of turmeric root powder
  • Dash of cayenne pepper 
  • mix it all up and sip!
